A Big Win for Transparency: Easstown Board of Supervisors Approves New Financial Transparency Solution
I am thrilled to announce a major step forward in our commitment to government transparency and accountability. This past Monday night, the Easstown Board of Supervisors (BOS) officially approved the selection of a powerful new financial transparency solution for our township.
This is the culmination of a thorough, collaborative process that began when I recommended this initiative to the BOS. After the Board approved the idea and appropriated the necessary funds, I began the critical work of finding the right tool for Easstown.
To ensure we selected the best possible product, I worked closely with two members of the Easstown Community Advisory Council (ECAC). Together, we undertook a comprehensive review of the market, which involved:
Identifying an initial list of nine different vendor products.
Deepening our research to focus on four leading solutions that best met our needs.
Conducting detailed demonstrations with three of those four vendors to see their platforms in action.
This diligent process allowed us to identify a best-in-class solution that will make the township's finances accessible, easy to understand, and interactive for all residents.
With the BOS's final approval on Monday, we are now cleared to move forward with the contract and implementation phase.
While I do not have a specific "go-live" date for when the public will be able to access this new tool, please know that I am committed to getting it launched as quickly and efficiently as possible.
This is a significant victory for every Easstown resident. Providing clear, accessible financial data is a cornerstone of good government, and I am proud to have led this effort. I will be sure to provide more updates as we move through the implementation process.
